Shipping and Receiving Supervisor supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform shipping and receiving duties
- Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base
- Loading and unloading with forklift
- Verify deliveries, maintain inventory using POS system
- Responsible for maintaining inventory levels at multiple retail locations
- Maintain clean and organized yard for back stock
- Assist customers in Retail yard as needed
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
- Required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company vehicle
QUALIFICATIONS
- One year of Shipping and Receiving experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently throughout the day
