Shipping and Receiving Supervisor supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. - Maintain/complete all documentation required for shipping of products
- Receive all supplies and raw materials sent to the company and ensure te materials are within specs
- Maintain records, both manually and via PC entry of all items being received
- Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, neat, and orderly
- Supervise Shipping & Receiving clerk/s
