Job Title : Shipping and Receiving Associate

Summary :

The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a crucial role in the overall logistics and inventory management process. This position serves as the last line of quality control before items leave the store for customer delivery.

The primary responsibilities include packaging and shipping goods to customers, ensuring proper pricing and labeling of store stock, and assisting in maintaining inventory accuracy.

This role involves collaboration with the Inventory Management Team, Sales, and Truck Drivers to optimize customer service efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Packaging and Shipping :

• Take full responsibility for the packaging and shipping of goods to customers.
• Stage orders appropriately for truck drivers, including morning staging and routine / daily staging.
• Field any calls related to the Inventory Management Team.

2. Inventory Management :

• Efficiently receive orders shipped from vendors.
• Identify damaged goods during the receiving process.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage and report to the Inventory Manager.
• Initiate the backorder process and prepare backorders for checking.
• Stock items allocated for the store according to the plan agreed upon by Sales and Inventory Managers (e.g., FIFO).

3. Organization :

• Responsible for the organization of the garage / shipping area.
• Assist in maintaining the overall organization of the inventory storage area.

4. Collaboration :

• Report all inventory discrepancies to the Inventory Manager.
• Assist Sales in ensuring proper pricing and labeling of store stock.
• Assist Sales when needed to help achieve customer service efficiency.

5. Communication :

• Field calls to the Inventory Management Team.
• Collaborate with other Inventory Management Associates based on customer and sales demand.

Hours; Monday - Friday 7 : 30a - 5p. With OT on Saturday 2-4 hrs.

Pay : BOE $17-$20 / PH

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

This role requires a meticulous individual who can ensure the accuracy of outgoing shipments, identify and report discrepancies, and collaborate with various teams to maintain an organized and efficient inventory system.
