SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK

This position will remain open until filled.

Position Objective:

The primary objective of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk is to support manufacturing operations through effective supply chain processes. These processes will ensure materials are received and stored appropriately and medical components are packaged and shipped per customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Work independently and within a team as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships across functions to support the delivery of incoming goods and the shipping of customer orders.
• Effective use of the ERP system to perform receiving of purchase orders, transacting of materials, and shipping of sales orders.
• Support production planning by receiving materials and communicating material shortages or overstock.
• Participate in driving on-time delivery results by shipping product when requested and using the proper shipping method.
• Comply with FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), general safety and manufacturing procedures, and company practices and policies.
• Implement lean and continuous flow principles in support of manufacturing.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift or other material handling equipment.
• Support Material Handlers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, daily housekeeping, and continuous consolidation of materials.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience  

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read, comprehend and communicate in English.
• Skilled at interpersonal awareness.
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
• Self-directed and motivated.
• Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations.
• Strong math skills.
• Forklift or material handling equipment experience desired.
• Computer skills required. Windows Operating System in a networked environment and Microsoft Office.
• IQMS ERP working knowledge is a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit and use hands.
• Continually required to talk and hear.
• Frequently work near moving mechanical parts, forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
• While performing the duties of the job, the noise level int eh work environment is usually moderate.
