Shipping and Receiving Clerk jobs in Richmond, KY

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments.  A successful Shipping and Receiving Clerk should be able to fulfill certain duties and responsibilities to maintain an organized facility and accurately process orders on time.  The following are some duties and responsibilities for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk.

•  Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, and ensure proper inventory is logged both into and out of stock locations.
• Maintain the company warehouse through organizing, cleaning and cycle counting items on a regular basis.
• Maintain work areas in a neat and organized manner.
• Accurately stock items in their proper locations so ensure proper inventory handling.
• Fulfill customer orders by pulling the proper quantity and product from the stock location and packaging the orders for outbound shipment.
• Properly pack products in shipping containers (envelopes, boxes, and crates) so items are organized and safely transported to our customers.
• This job will require workers to bend and lift up to 50 lbs. as necessary.
• Once certified, workers will operate forklifts, pallets jacks, and other material handling equipment as necessary.
• Workers must be able to see and read part numbers, bin locations, picking/stocking slips, electronic equipment and communicate questions or concerns to their supervisors and manager.
• Performance requires workers to stand, walk, sit, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Collaborate and work with coworkers to achieve fulfillment and stocking goals.
• Cooperate with others so the workplace is free from conflict and/or harassment.
   

Qualifications for a successful candidate includes: 

• Previous warehouse experience a bonus, but NOT required.
• Able to be understand or read instruction to learn policy and procedures.
• Ability to perform physical work to lift, bend, stock, pull, and count inventory.
• Able to collaborate and communicate with other employees.
