Expected salary range of $39,600 to $44,000, varies based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
This is a Laboratory support position with emphasis on lab and warehouse logistics activities such as shipping/receiving, packaging, general maintenance, customer pick up and delivery services, and providing support of PowerLabs calibration and testing laboratories. Primary work location is in the facility warehouse/logistics center.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Physical receipt and initial processing of materials and equipment from customers and suppliers utilizing in-house proprietary software. This includes providing assistance to walk-in customers. (20%)
- Pulling and packing equipment shipments in accordance with industry standards, preparing related shipping paperwork, and inputting data into the shipping database. (20%)
- Distribution of work products, equipment, and parts among lab entities. (20%)
- Pick up and delivery of equipment from/to customers using a company vehicle. (10%)
- Prepare and receive Hazmat shipments including support of PowerLabs Radiation Protection Program. (10%)
- Pulling instrumentation from the warehouse, restocking consumables, and maintaining department work areas and equipment. (10%)
- Assist labs with completing scheduled assignments as needed both in the lab and outside the facility (5%)
- Other duties as assigned. (5%)
JOB SCOPE:
- This is an entry-level position at PowerLabs that performs shipping, receiving, and general logistical support of PowerLabs laboratory activities. This involves completing training and qualification for laboratory programs and processes for Lab Logistics processes. This includes performing shipping/receiving of hazmat materials as well as other laboratory support and maintenance activities

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma.
- Must be able to obtain radiation protection program certification for hazmat shipping and receiving.
- Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a power plant environment that includes climbing and walking long distances.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work overtime and alternate shifts when required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Working knowledge of basic hand tools.
- OSHA-approved forklift certification.
- Working knowledge of manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Ability to operate delivery vans in metro areas.
- Willingness and ability to learn and help with general laboratory support assignments.
