Being a Shipping and Receiving Clerk uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Clerk typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to supervisor. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Shipping & Receiving Clerk Job Summary:
1. Pay: $15/hour
2. M-F. 8:30am – 4:30pm
3. Location: Sanford, FL
4. Print FedEx and UPS labels as needed for small parcel shipments using UPS/FedEx, LTL, AND FTL carrier portals.
5. Verify cases labels for outbound daily shipments, place them on pallets.
6. Stretch, wrap, band, and weight pallets using warehouse equipment.
7. Document and verify counts of pulled orders through SAP software on the computer.
8. Pick and Pack orders using SAP guns.
9. Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.
10. Receives, counts, and records incoming PO’s, products, customer returns, raw and corrugated materials.
11. Put away, restock, and consolidate inventory into assigned bin locations.
12. Perform cycle counts and inventory audits.
13. Maintain a clean environment in the warehouse.
14. Interaction- this position will interact closely with Director of Operations, Warehouse supervisor, and Sales support staff.
Shipping & Receiving Clerk Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED is required.
2. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
3. Ability to operate warehouse equipment and various computerized shipping applications in a safe and efficient manner.
4. Strong knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow instructions.
5. Self-started, ability to work independently and multitask with minimal supervision.
6. Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and ability to learn SAP.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to maintain constant and consistent communication with Warehouse Manager daily.
