Shipping and Receiving Clerk jobs in Erie, PA

Summary of Position:

Responsibilities include working within a shop pulling orders and preparing them for shipment, both small package and freight as well as receiving incoming material and processing the necessary paperwork

Essential Functions:

· Enters the shipping details of invoices into a computer system to arrange shipping

· Accurately pulling product and packaging orders to prevent damages

· Prepare freight shipments for pickup

· Works closely with sales to ensure accurate and timely shipments

· May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

KKNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

· Experience working within a customer service and order entry environment

· Excellent typing and ten key skills

· Excellent communication skills, (written and verbal)

· Strong attention to details, highly organized

· Ability to work well in a fast-paced shop environment

· Knowledge of Netsuite software or comparable ERP system

· Ability to stand for a long period of time

· Required to read and write English, follow verbal/written instructions

Mathematical Skills

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure

WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Work performed in a shop and office environment

· Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Required to lift up to 50 lbs

· Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and move about the facility

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
