Shipping and Receiving Clerk jobs in Des Plaines, IL

We are excited to announce we are looking to add a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to our team. Your primary goal will be to provide shipping and receiving activities for our product at our central USA warehouse services located in Itasca, IL. This is not a role where you just run around the warehouse and scan packages. This requires you to be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, be able to communicate with your peers locally and across the nation when problems arise with a shipment, you need to think of your role as business unit and how you operate can have a positive impact on other business units to create our outstanding performance of minimizing shipping delays. What you will do:

• Receive product.
• Pulls boards from inventory for shipments to customers.
• Boxes and prepares jobs for shipment per NCAB Group USA’s standards or customer requirements as set forth in profiles.
• Performs hand carries.
• Ships via UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, DHL.com, Domestic and International.
• Performs transactions in QCS-VS (receipt, shipment, or transfer.)
• Screens recipients of ITAR Controlled product to identify ineligible parties.
• Assists with the training of the new shipping and receiving associates.
• Handles product safely at all times.
• Communicates with other departments to resolve issues.
• Maintains Logistics’ documents according to the Control of Documents SOP.
• Adheres to procedures including the Quality Management System.
• Adheres to system documentation.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
• Be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Proficient with email and business enterprise software systems
• Communication skills are a must, you will communicate with other team members via email, phone and/or in person communication
