Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Overton Industries in Mooresville Indiana is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our Plant 2 Production Facility. Fast paced environment with stamping presses, wet and dry tumbling equipment and forklifts.
Job Requirements-
· Preparing boxes to be shipped in North America and International.
· Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
· Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
· Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
· Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
· Compiles records of unfilled orders.
· Posts weight and shipping charges, Prepares bills of lading.
· Ability to lead and collaborative with multiple shifts to create one team to meet department goals, work with all departments and be very flexible
· Strong leadership, direction, has an eye for detail and ensure proper procedures and training for all members and all regulatory and safety procedures
· Strong written and oral communication skills.

Work Environment- This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and the work environment may be loud, requiring hearing protection. Proper Footwear i.e. Work Boots are required.
Physical Demands- While performing the duties of this job, the employee required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pound boxes.
