Shipping and Receiving Clerk assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Receives, unpacks, inspects and stores incoming materials and supplies. Being a Shipping and Receiving Clerk uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Clerk typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to supervisor. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Shift: Monday-Friday (10a-6p)
The Shipping Clerk ensures proper receipt and processing of all paperwork and materials being received or shipped. Assists with all shipping, receiving, and inventory control, including but not limited to packing materials for shipment, building pallets, organizing paperwork, cleaning, and organizing the materials in the warehouse to include the safe operation of a forklift in tight spaces. Production finishing responsibilities include helping organize and prepare jobs for operators and learning and operating finishing equipment with other duties as assigned by supervisor.
