Shipping and Receiving Clerk assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Receives, unpacks, inspects and stores incoming materials and supplies. Being a Shipping and Receiving Clerk uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Clerk typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to supervisor. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. PRIMARY PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to receive, process, and ship parts and other miscellaneous items in a proper and timely manner. This positional is also responsible for dispersing packages to their intended departments, along with unloading shipments upon arrival.
