Job description for Shipping Specialist

Harmony Enterprises, the solutions provider for waste and recycling and an Equal

Opportunity (EEO/AA) Employer, is hiring for the position of Shipping Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Get units ready for shipping (30%)

o Communicate with production and Customer service for shipping needs

o Understand different machines and parts

o Wrap machines with plastic

o Palletize/crate as needed

• Load trucks (30%)

o Understand basic shipping regulations

o Utilizing hoist or forklift to load truck

• UPS (30%)

o Package UPS

o Label UPS

• Receiving (10%)

o Understand the receiving process and receive items as needed

The shipping position is responsible for having our product ready to load on a truck

when the truck arrives. This position is also responsible for loading the trucks as well

as doing the paperwork associated with shipping. This person is also responsible for

packaging UPS and making sure all packages are ready for pickup. Working with

purchasing, and parts room is important, this position will be responsible for helping

in the receiving process.
