Shipping Specialist jobs in Kannapolis, NC
Shipping Specialist prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Being a Shipping Specialist utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. Troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Additionally, Shipping Specialist ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Shipping Specialist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Shipping Specialist typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

So, what will you be doing as a Shipping Coordinator?- Prepare customer work orders
- Print labels and bills of lading for daily outbound shipments
- Prepare completed loading paperwork
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Basic geographical awareness
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Able to answer numerous phone lines with a professional telephone etiquette
- Good on-time attendance
- Experience in a manufacturing setting
- 1-3 years of similar work experience
- Forklift certification
