We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our client, a registered ISO 9001 facility. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for managing outgoing shipments and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the warehouse operations.
This is a temp to perm position paying $18.50-$20 an hour. Full-time Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
-Coordinate shipments and provide/obtain the necessary weights and dimensions, coordinate the proper labelling.
- Coordinate to ensure that all the day’s orders to ship are being packed and prepared correctly and on time.
- Inspect packages for damages or discrepancies
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation
- Utilize warehouse management system (AS400) to track inventory and update records
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving required (AS400)
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Must be familiar with Windows based systems
- Basic math skills for inventory management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
