Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Shipping Specialist works under moderate supervision. This position is an integral part of the team specializing in picking, packing, and shipping the orders in a manner that is efficient and meets the requirements of our customers. The team is also responsible for maintaining an organized work area and accurate stock and inventory count of products and shipping supplies.Responsibilities and Duties:- Pulling/picking products, monitoring inventory, and preparing packages to be shipped
- Creating shipping labels
- Palletize orders for shipping
- Ability to work together as a high performing team
- Maintain work area in a neat, orderly, and safe manner
- Assist with ensuring accurate on-hand counts for our products and materials
- Prevent shipping errors by reviewing for accuracy and discrepancies
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:- Self-motivated and ability to stay on task
- Ability to multitask & change directions as needed
- Prevent shipping errors by reviewing for accuracy and discrepancies
- Flow to work in other areas of logistics or operations
- Previous packing/shipping experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must Haves:- High School Diploma or GED
- Team oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexibility with hours during high shipment periods
- The ability to handle/lift packages that weigh up to 40 lbs
- Good attendance record
