Shipping/Receiving Manager
1st Shift

• As Shipping Clerk follows shipping schedule and instructions of Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to obtain accurate, on-time shipment and delivery
• Practices good inventory accuracy and reports any variances to supervisor;
• Prepares and packages parts to be shipped by following customer specifications, verifies count, part identification match, against packing list and/or customer purchase order. 
• Relies on quality standards for last-chance to detect defects so part may to be deleted from shipment, maintains safety and good housekeeping of products and work areas. 
• As Receiving Clerk, receives and inspects items delivered to location. 
• Physically alerts or distributes incoming inventories and/or raw stocks to proper departments and appropriate storage areas; rejecting and dispatching to appropriate area for corrective action. 
• Signs incoming receipts and forwards to purchasing department or office for processing.  Operates forklift as necessary to perform job safely.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following, but not limited to:

• Follows ship out schedule
• Prepares shipments while maintaining accuracy of inventory, part number matching against packing list and/or purchase order.
• Relies on quality standards for last-chance to detect defects so part may to be deleted from shipment

• Prepares crates, boxes or other shipping containers following customer specification, including stenciling, spacers, filling and packing material.
• Assists in maintaining a safe, work area including good housekeeping.
• Receives, signs inspects items for delivery to location; physically alerting or distributing incoming inventories and raw stocks to proper storage areas.
• Forwards paperwork to proper department.
• Operates forklift as necessary to perform job safely.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must have working knowledge of logistics processes;
• Capable of reading and interpreting blue print, product part matching, packing specifications;
• understand and interpret instruction;
• understand and follow customer packaging specifications;
• follow training and safety measures satisfactorily.
