Torch Technologies is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist I
The candidate will be responsible for following supply chain procedures to track material purchases, receive, ship, store, and deliver shipments, validate packing slips against purchase orders, electronically receive material and assist in the return of defective or damaged items. Ensure that proper signatures are obtained, and final documentation is properly filed. The candidate will continually assist with updating, refining, and optimizing the shipping and receiving process and document accordingly. Coordinate with alternate receiving locations to ensure proper receipt documentation and processes are followed. Ensure accordance with Torch’s quality systems; AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
This position requires the candidate to be able to work responsibly in a fast-paced environment, have outstanding customer service skills, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to perform data entry and prepare reports and correspondence. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of the Shipping and Receiving team, contributing to Torch’s overall success.
Be able to prepare reports and correspondence
Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint is preferred
Must have a valid state driver’s license
Must have the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
Must be able to walk frequently and stand for long periods throughout the day.
Minimum education requirement: high school diploma; Associate degree or higher a plus
Minimum Experience: 0-2 years of related experience is preferred.
