This Position (BC-Business Contact) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of package pickup and delivery services within a singular FedEx Ground terminal.
The Manager (BC) will have a strong daily presence at the FedEx Ground terminal, as well as build and
maintain strong, positive working relationships with all FedEx Employees.
Salary $58-86k
**This is not a Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm position. It will require some long hours, days and weekend
work, but it will also be flexible with your schedule when circumstances allow.
MUST have previous transportation management experience to be considered for this position.
We prefer FedEx BC experience, but are willing to consider UPS, Amazon, DHL, etc.
Manager vehicle will be provided if available.

MANAGER DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS:
Responsible for ensuring excellent service from each driver.
Responsible for ensuring that all packages go out the door and are delivered in a timely manner.
Responsible for ensuring all pickups are done within the times that customers have requested.
Responsible for ensuring all daily P&D routes are staffed, trucks are operational, and the routes are generating maximum revenue.
Responsible for recording and reporting timesheets for payroll
Develop and maintain a relationship with a reputable and affordable vendor to perform maintenance and repairs.
Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repairs on equipment at regular intervals to avoid unnecessary breakdowns.
Responsible for the training of every new driver to ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations.
Responsible for ensuring driver is compliant with daily duties regarding paperwork, Hours of Service compliant, Pre-Trip/Post Trip Inspections.
Creates a culture of safety and ensuring each driver is up to date on all monthly safety training.
Coordinates with FedEx ground staff in order to execute a plan that maximizes the profitability of the company.
Responsible for ensuring we are providing quality service to FedEx Ground with available drivers and operable equipment to pick up and deliver packages.
Responsible for managing budget and expenses for a designated terminal/location.
Works closely with Fleet Manager to ensure the fleet is operating and maintenance is routinely performed on all trucks.
Responsible for performance management of all drivers assigned to terminal/location.
Physically willing, ready, and able to drive a P-1200 sized vehicle and safely pick up and deliver packages to both residential and commercial recipients in the event of driver call-offs, driver shortages, heavy volume, or any other unforeseen circumstances.
Excellent contingency planner.
Establishing relationships with part-time drivers as well as other FedEx contractors in the building to help one another out in times of need.
MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
You will need to go through a background/MVR check Must be able to pass a drug test and dot physical.
Prior management experience is a must.
One year of driving experience over the last 3 years or five years experience over the last ten years.
Clean motor vehicle record.
Must be over 21 and have no felonies/violent misdemeanors or drug-related misdemeanors in the last ten years.
