HL Welding Inc., has an IMMEDIATE need for Ship Fitters to work at a local shipyard in Vancouver, WA area.

Non-local rate: $24hr $160 pdm

Job Description:

• Must be able to understand and interpret blueprint reading.
• Tacks and welds foundations, including outfitting.
• Responsible to fabricate, assemble and install large metal structural parts including bulkheads and turnbuckles.
• Responsible for the production line as well as plate cutting.
• Must be proficient in torch burning and weld washing.
• Responsible to inspect all areas before performing hot work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 3-5 years as a Journeyman Shipfitter.
• Must be able to pass a written test and hands on assessment.
• Must possess a valid ID or Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.
• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
