Shipfitter lays-out and fabricates metal structural parts such as plates, bulkheads, and frames within the hull of ship for riveting or welding. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Shipfitter is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Shipfitter performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. 360 is looking for experienced steel fitter/ fabricator. Barge Repair facility on the Mississippi river in Southern Missouri. Ideal candidates should be able to operate an oxyacetylene cutting torch and do some tack welding with 6011 stick.
Work scheduled is 60 hours per week (6) 10's. They will do (7) days per week in some instances.
Pay DOE and per diem is paid for days worked.
