Being a Shipfitter is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. We are currently looking for a Shipfitter for support in our San Diego location.
What You Will Do:
This position is an essential role in fast paced environment that requires thinking quickly and effectively while maintaining a positive attitude. The Shipfitter will always follow safe work practices and be responsible for helping everyone learn and maintain the PMG Standard. The primary responsibility of the Shipfitter is the set-up, laying out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and/or equipment products. This job includes set-up, laying out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and/or equipment products. The welder must utilize welding equipment to complete work per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule. We are looking for someone with the ability to operate and /or use related equipment and tools which include stick, wire feed, TIG, forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders (portable & bench), cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, a tape measure, etc.
