Ship Engineer jobs in Westfield, MA
Ship Engineer repairs and maintains gasoline and diesel engines in boats, such as yachts, tugs, and trawlers, following specifications. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field. Being a Ship Engineer is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Ship Engineer performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Scope of Position:
Responsible for having a deep and technical understanding of our product offerings, our customers' applications, and to use this understanding to assist in all aspects of driving product definition, providing technical support, and taking the company and its products to market. - Writes detailed application documentation for Dadanco products
- Defines new products and new applications
- Hands-on jobsite visits
- Provides technical and application assistance for representatives and/or customers for new products
- Gathers data needed for competitive analysis or product development direction
- Solves customer application problems in a timely manner
- Provides technical and product application training to our customers and representatives
- Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested
