Ship Engineer jobs in California
Ship Engineer repairs and maintains gasoline and diesel engines in boats, such as yachts, tugs, and trawlers, following specifications. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field. Being a Ship Engineer is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Ship Engineer performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. The D2C Shipping is a critical member of the ShipCalm fulfillment team, providing the last step of the pick/pack/ship process.
- Ships parcel packages through Warehouse Management System [WMS].
- Assigns accurate cartons to shipment.
- Identifies and either escalates or resolves shipping exceptions.
- Communicates escalated shipping exceptions and follows up with Customer Experience.
- Manages capacity flow into shipping and communicates with Fulfillment Supervisor and/or team about concerns.
- Keeps shipping area, including exception holding area, neatly organized and clean.
- Is a positive team member and contributes to a healthy work environment.
- Responsible for End Of Day Manifest for Parcel Shipments
