Ship Engineer repairs and maintains gasoline and diesel engines in boats, such as yachts, tugs, and trawlers, following specifications. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field. Being a Ship Engineer is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Ship Engineer performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Job Title: Water/Wastewater Engineer
City: Atlanta
State: GA
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Plan and design water/wastewater treatment, distribution/conveyance, pumping and storage facilities;
- Prepare piping design and layouts;
- Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses;
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and supporting documents;
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications and cost estimates;
- Evaluate alternatives and resolving technical issues by interfacing with other engineering disciplines;
- Perform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings;
- Recommend and document design modifications;
- Complete hydraulic calculations;
- Write technical specifications and reports; and
Evaluate treatment systems to determine design criteria for improvements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental & Water Resources Engineering and 3 years of experience in job offered or 3 years of experience in the Related Occupation
