Responsibilities

• Survey Team Leadership: Lead a survey crew in the collection of accurate field data, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. Ensure that fieldwork is conducted safely and efficiently.

• Instrument Operation: Operate and maintain surveying instruments and equipment, such as total stations, GPS units, and data collectors, to perform precise measurements and data collection.

• Data Management: Organize and manage field data, ensuring it is accurately recorded, processed, and transferred to CAD technicians for further analysis and reporting.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality control checks on survey data, ensuring that it meets project requirements and industry standards, while addressing any discrepancies as they arise.

• Client Interaction: Interact with clients and other project stakeholders as necessary to provide updates, address inquiries, and maintain positive working relationships.

Qualifications

• Surveying Expertise:  A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Party Chief in land surveying is required.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in the use of surveying instruments and equipment, as well as a strong understanding of surveying principles and practices.

• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate survey crews, ensuring that they work cohesively and efficiently.

• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address unexpected challenges in the field, ensuring the successful completion of projects.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and project stakeholders effectively. The ability to convey technical information in a clear and concise manner is essential.
