Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Sheriff/Police Chief typically requires at least 10 years of law enforcement experience. Always comply with MCR standards and regulations to encourage safe         and efficient hotel operations. Train and supervise the Engineering staff and coordinate all scheduling. Respond to emergency situations using information contained in Material Safety Data sheets. Keep Material Safety Data sheets current and easily available (with Housekeeping Manager). Coordinate all inspections of the fire safety systems, including extinguishers, smoke alarms, etc., to            maintain proper safety standards. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner. Other duties as assigned.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS   Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations. Reasoning abilities are always utilized. Basic maintenance skills required. Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools, test equipment. Valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (property specific). Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Must have a desire to serve all guests. Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job.   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS   Technical, Trade or Vocational school degree. Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.). 2 years of work-related experience Carry all equipment (e.g., keys, phones, pager, tools, radio) to maintain preparedness to always carry out work tasks.
