    To establish an eligibility list for the POLICE CHIEF classification, a written competitive Civil Service examination will be held at 9:00 AM on June 01, 2024 at Hamilton Police Department Training Room, 331 S. Front Street.

    An assessment center test will be conducted on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Applicants will be notified via email of the specific time of the assessment. 
    The Written Exam score shall constitute 40% of the overall exam score. The  Assessment Center score shall constitute 60% of the overall exam score. 

    This is administrative and public safety work involving the planning, organization, direction, supervision and coordination of the operations of the City's Police Department.

    Seventy percent (70%) is the minimum passing grade for the written exam. Examinees must pass the written test in order to participate in the assessment center. The written test shall weigh forty percent (40%) and the assessment center shall weigh sixty percent (60%) of the total score. No credit for seniority will be added to an examinee's grade unless the applicant achieves at least the minimum passing grade on the written exam without counting such extra credit. No credit for efficiency shall be added to test grades.
