OVERVIEW: The Sewing Machine Operator II performs the task of cutting fabric / product, operating sewing machines, trimming threads and folding product with the appropriate user inserts, ensuring that the sewing production schedule is met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cut, sew, trim threads and fold products, according to established guidelines and procedures.
- Operating single needle sewing machine or bartack sewing machine on all production lines.
- Operating double needle sewing machines, zig-zag sewing machine or serger sewing machine.
- Assist in manual cutting of fabric / product.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance, as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Perform additional duties as requested / required by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 or more years of industrial sewing experience. Experience in sewing machine maintenance or troubleshooting is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee may occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly sit, use hand to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 25 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position works in an environment with moderate noise levels.
