Set Solutions, a Trace3 Company is hiring for a full time HelpDesk/Desktop Technician for a client in the Rockford, MI area.
**Note that this position is not working internal for Trace3 but is full time dedicated to one of our valued end clients.
We are seeking a Tier 2 Technical Support Specialist to provide advanced technical assistance in resolving complex computer software and hardware issues, extending support beyond the capabilities of our Tier 1 team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in various areas, including business process device troubleshooting, Windows 10, iPhone setups, networking concepts, Active Directory (AD), end user laptop provisioning, and adherence to security best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Business Process Device Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to business process devices such as paper and label printers, scanners, and laptops, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Windows 10 Troubleshooting: Provide comprehensive troubleshooting support for Windows 10 operating systems, addressing issues related to performance, connectivity, and software compatibility.
- iPhone Setups: Configure and set up iPhones for end users, ensuring seamless integration with corporate networks and applications.
- Networking Concepts: Apply knowledge of networking concepts including VLANs, subnetting, routing, etc., to troubleshoot network-related issues and optimize network performance.
- Active Directory and Azure AD Administration: Perform administration tasks in Active Directory and Azure AD, including user management, group policies, and access control, to maintain a secure and organized directory environment.
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams, to support end user productivity and collaboration.
- End User Laptop Provisioning: Provision end user laptops with the necessary software, security configurations, and access permissions to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Security Best Practices: Demonstrate a basic understanding of security best practices and adhere to established protocols to mitigate security risks and safeguard organizational assets.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support roles, with proficiency in troubleshooting various devices and platforms.
- understanding of Windows 10 operating system and iPhone setup procedures.
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as VLANs, subnetting, and routing.
- Experience in Active Directory and Azure AD administration, including user management and group policies.
- Ability to provision end user laptops and configure software and security settings.
- Basic understanding of security best practices and the ability to apply them in a corporate environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with end users and technical teams.
- Proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.02 - $29.00 per hour
