Being a Set Designer may require an associate's degree or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Set Designer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. JOB SUMMARY
Operate CAD equipment to provide complex layouts of fire sprinkler systems, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams. Possesses a solid understanding of design and drafting techniques and utilizes these skills in the development of fire sprinkler layouts and systems. Apply fire protection codes and standards to the design of fire sprinkler systems, water supplies, pumps, standpipes, foam systems, and water storage tanks.
