Set Designer designs motion picture or television production sets, signs, props, or scenic effects. Prepares scale drawings for use in construction, modification, or alteration. Being a Set Designer may require an associate's degree or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Set Designer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
Supervises Setup staff to conduct Banquet set-up and tear down activities for meetings, banquets and food and beverage functions in the conference center, facility housing, pro-shops, tented areas and other locations booked for events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES –
Provides supervision to all Banquet team; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting with interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems; maintain a continuous open-door policy to answer team member questions needing immediate attention.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction and multiplication.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgments regarding banquets processes. Ability to follow a diagram for setting a room.

HOURS
Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
