Set Designer designs motion picture or television production sets, signs, props, or scenic effects. Prepares scale drawings for use in construction, modification, or alteration. Being a Set Designer may require an associate's degree or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Set Designer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Preferred Skills:
Experience with general arrangement drawings of industrial plant layouts and capital equipment design and drafting
Experience creating drawings from field measurements
Project management experience
Job Responsibilities:
Work under the direction of a Lead Engineer to support installation and start-up of large, complex industrial process equipment
Take field measurements and create equipment drawings to accurately document existing systems
Make changes to red-lined mechanical and electrical (schematics) drawings using AutoCAD (2D)
Assist the Lead Engineer with various engineering and project management tasks
Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
