Service Contract Administrator prepares, reviews, administers, and tracks service contract proposals and renewals. Explains service terms to customers and answers questions about contracts. Being a Service Contract Administrator secures necessary approvals and ensures that the standard contract terms are followed. Escalates issues involving customer claims about service to management. Additionally, Service Contract Administrator may participate in review of customer issues and may recommend modifications to the services or terms. May assist with contract negotiations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Service Contract Administrator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Senior Contract Administrator Develops, prepares, and administers contracts, bids, and proposals that meet specifications and comply with all policies and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participates in contract negotiations with suppliers, partners, or customers.• Reviews contract terms to identify any potential risk or compliance issues on major contracts.• Examines supporting materials and agreement documents related to bids or contracts and provides guidance to senior leadership and subcontractors. • Acts as liaison between the organization and subcontractors to implement the contracts.• Maintains contract records used to ensure compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements.• Lead and manage contract administrators.• Establishes contract compliance criteria and policy.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Contracts, or a related field. • A minimum of ten years of experience in contract administration in a construction environment. • Proficiency with contract administration tools required.• Must be proficient with Microsoft office Suite.
