The Analyst III/Contract Administration assists the Manager/Contract Administration by overseeing data request responses, preparing and reviewing budget variance reports, tracking all construction bid projects, conducting complex contractual analyses, and providing advanced expert input to the other department analysts. These tasks are in addition to performing routine contract administration duties including preparing, reviewing, negotiating, awarding, and administrating service contracts, leases, and agreements for Southwest Gas Corporation (“Company”).
POSITION DIMENSIONS
This position does not have accountability for personnel or budgets but is responsible to prepare and review budget variance reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
There are clear precedents and practices which the incumbent uses to determine how this job is performed. This position requires four to six years of relevant work experience in contract administration or related field plus a bachelor’s degree in contract management, acquisition, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job responsibilities. Strong verbal and written communications skills and a high degree of independent problem solving abilities are required to successfully perform the duties of this position.
