This position is a working supervisor, directly supervising security officers. Work situations are varied and can be of a hostile nature. This position demands a service-oriented individual, security expertise, organization, good judgment, problem solving skills, diplomacy, and leadership. Internal contacts include staff and management throughout the organization. External contacts include local police department personnel, patients, families, and visitors.Minimum Requirements:Previous experience and demonstrated skills in as supervisory or lead capacity requiredTwo years of experience in a similar role required Education/Licenses/Certifications:Associates degree required or 2 years of experience in lieu of a degree will be consideredSuccessfully complete the hospital security officer basic training program and receive certification through the International Association for Hospital Security and Safety Foundation within the first ninety days of employment and Supervisors training program within the first year of employment preferredCertified and able to provide first aid and CPRCurrent Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state Shift: Day Shifts Employment Type: Full-Time Regular
