Security Shift Supervisor Assistant - Casino jobs in Casper, WY

DESCRIPTION: Performs security related duties and provides customer service involving the general facilities and properties, as well as assists in the protection of various company assets. Deals with safety issues for the overall protection of team members and guests including responding to all emergencies at Wind River Hotel Casino and Little Wind Casino. Title 24; Safety Sensitive Position

DUTIES:

· Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations, utilizing rational thinking and decision making.

· Performs post duty on various locations within properties. Checks guest identification as needed.

· Escorts team members carrying monetary assets exceeding prescribed amount. Informs Surveillance of such escorts.

· Assists Hard Count Cashiers in transporting coin and currency within the casino by clearing traffic and providing escort.

· Delivers chip buys and credit to and from Table Games pits. Verifies chip amounts match paperwork for various tables within the pit.

· Provides general patrol of interior and perimeter of facilities and properties. Checks for unusual occurrences and resolves or reports such occurrences to security supervisors.

· Distributes playing cards to Table Games pits. Collects playing cards used by the Table Games pits for disposal. Verifies that all paperwork is accurate and in compliance with applicable policies. Disposes of cards as appropriate.

· Collects cash and cash-equivalents from Table Games drops and delivers to Soft Count. Verifies all paperwork for accuracy.

· Provides information, direction, and assistance to all guests and team members.

· Responds to emergency situations including medical, severe weather, fires, thefts, assaults, bomb threats, evacuations as directed, physical or verbal conflicts, and criminal activities.

· Reports or resolves medical occurrences and provides first aid, as necessary.

· Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

· Ability to be on feet 85% of shift.

· Must be physically able to climb stairs repeatedly, stand for long periods of time, and walk 5 to 10 miles per shift. In medical emergencies may be required to carry equipment in-excess of fifty pounds and assist in removing or carrying team members or guests from hazardous areas.

· Must be able to perform CPR for two minutes on victims of all sizes.

· All other duties as assigned.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

· Must be dependable, reliable, and able to work any alternating shifts, including peak hours.

· Must be able to work all Holidays and weekends.

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

· Any combination of post-secondary education/certification in law-enforcement, military, security fields and/or experience within law enforcement, Military, Security, or Customer Service to equal one year.

· Must be able to pass a basic-math-skills, as well as a reading comprehension test.

· Successful completion of an in-house training program which includes communication, CPR/AED, use of force, and Title 31 training.

· Must attend all mandatory trainings and opportunities offered such as: CPR/First Aid, MICS, and all mandatory meetings.

· Must be able to work in second-hand smoke, loud noise, and bright lights environment.

· Must be at least 21 years of age.

· Must be able to demonstrate their US work authorization during the employment verification process.

· Must be able to pass a background investigation.

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random Drug Test.

· Must have a valid Wyoming Driver’s License.

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Must be proficient working with computers, efficient typing, correct spelling, and mathematic skills.

· Have knowledge of Word and Excel.

· Must be competent when dealing with all cash transactions.

· Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing.

· Must have the ability to manage critical deadlines, prioritize effectively and efficiently.

· Ability to communicate and comprehend information and ideas in spoken and written English so that others will understand.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Ability to accept, prioritize and follow through on work direction.
