Security Manager implements security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps. Being a Security Manager trains staff and establishes operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Monitors and inspects systems, alarms, and other physical security measures. Additionally, Security Manager participates in education programs and contributes to communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues. Engages with local, state, provincial, or federal authorities to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events. Initiates or assists with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies. Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. The Security Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Security Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Property Maintenance:Supervise all aspects of property maintenance, including landscaping, repairs, renovations, and routine upkeep to ensure the estate remains pristine.

    • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of maintenance staff, groundskeepers, and other personnel as needed. Provide guidance, support, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality service delivery.

    • Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets for ongoing maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements. Monitor expenses, negotiate contracts with vendors, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

    • Security and Safety:Implement and oversee security protocols to safeguard the estate, its occupants, and its assets. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency preparedness procedures.

    • Vendor Management: Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers to coordinate maintenance and repair work, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary constraints.

    • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, financial transactions, and vendor contracts. Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation for estate owners or management as needed.

    • Customer Service: Act as a point of contact for estate owners and guests, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally. Strive to exceed expectations and enhance the overall experience of estate living.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in estate management, property management, or a related role, with a minimum of [X] years of experience.
