Security Manager implements security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps. Being a Security Manager trains staff and establishes operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Monitors and inspects systems, alarms, and other physical security measures. Additionally, Security Manager participates in education programs and contributes to communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues. Engages with local, state, provincial, or federal authorities to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events. Initiates or assists with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies. Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. The Security Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Security Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Goldbelt Security's Alaska Operations provides services throughout Alaska that include intermittent security needs. Goldbelt Security (AK Ops) is separate arm of the Goldbelt Security, LLC, operating out of Juneau and reporting to the VP of Alaska Operations.
Summary:
Goldbelt Security Guards assigned to this remote contract will be working 12-hour shifts on a 14-day scheduled rotation. The guards will be housed by our client, meals will be provided by our client.
Travel to/From Haines will be at Applicants expense.
Employees will be working independently or as part of a team, is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, and others at his/her assigned site. This position is supervised by the Supervisor, and/or Management.

Pay and Benefits:
Starting Pay rate $25.00 per hour
Applicant with 3-5 years' experience, Pay Rate $27.50 per hour
Applicant with 5 years of experience, Pay Rate $28.50 per hour
*average gross pay $4,340 every two weeks up to $5,586.00 based on pay rate.*
