Security Manager implements security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps. Being a Security Manager trains staff and establishes operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Monitors and inspects systems, alarms, and other physical security measures. Additionally, Security Manager participates in education programs and contributes to communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues. Engages with local, state, provincial, or federal authorities to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events. Initiates or assists with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies. Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. The Security Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Nation Security (Tampa Office) is currently seeking a Security Operations Manager with strong leadership and excellent problem-solving skills along with good communication skills. The duties will consist of but not be limited to the development and implementation of the organization and the supervision of employees.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibility to oversee all of the security operations for all locations
Work with Site Supervisors and Managers for accurate and precise payroll/billing maintenance
Conduct interviewing and hiring to standards as per our Industry needs and growth opportunities
Develop Succession Planning and assist with mentoring managers and supervisors
Assist with the maintenance of the floater and applicant pool
Provide emergency response and operational support, as required
Coordinate and manage inventory and ordering of all District Uniform programs in addition to other equipment and supplies including cell phones
Control systems in purchasing and monitoring utilization of all fleet/golf carts utilized at the accounts, conduct inspections and maintain appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists
Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients to ensure we are being successful in meeting their needs
Assist with field operations as needed with regards to client relations, special assignments
Coordinate and support onsite New Client Startups, as needed
Work with the Director of Human Resources as needed on all employee relations situations and concerns
Assist with training of New Officers, Supervisors, and Managers with regard to district operations
Oversee and tour onsite operation for compliance
Must be able to maintain composure under stressful and challenging situations and work well in a group setting
