Security Manager implements security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps. Being a Security Manager trains staff and establishes operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Monitors and inspects systems, alarms, and other physical security measures. Additionally, Security Manager participates in education programs and contributes to communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues. Engages with local, state, provincial, or federal authorities to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events. Initiates or assists with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies. Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. The Security Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Security Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     HOW WILL THIS POSITION CONTRIBUTE?

    Mission: Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with Matrix security staff, engineers, and government customers. Managing and enforcing DoD security programs and requirements for various program types and levels of classification.

    WHAT SKILLS ARE NEEDED?

    Required:

    • Provide day-to-day security management, oversight and implementation for a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Facility as a Contractor Special Security Offices (CSSO) along with experience as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) in accordance with DoDM 5105.21 volumes 1-3.
    • Experience in all security disciplines with the ability to integrate requirements into a successful security program - Physical, Technical, Personnel, Cyber, and/or Operational.
    • Working knowledge of NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117 and Intelligence Community Directives.
    • Working knowledge of Security databases including DISS, NISS, e-QUIP, SWFT.
    • Knowledge of Closed Area Standards and ICD 705
    • Generate and implement security plans for secure areas (SOP, OPESEC, etc)
    • Knowledge in construction of, obtaining accreditation of, and management of SCIFs/SAPFs and their requirements (including TEMPEST) for various government agencies.
    • Develop and administer security education training for SCI.
    • Review and track DD254s and generate subcontractor DD254s as needed.
    • Initiate and manage personnel clearance lifecycle
    • Responsible for the successful preparation and completion of security inspections/audits by government customers.
    • Ensure physical security of classified areas including semi-annual maintenance of alarm system(s) that meet UL2050 certification.

    WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE NEEDED?

    • Top Secret SCI (eligibility) clearance in place with an investigation date in the last 5 years.
    • 5 years of related Security Management work experience as a CSSO/CPSO with DoD, IC and other USG agencies
