Security Guard - Unarmed provides security and guards buildings, grounds, materials, work sites, or other venues. Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Unarmed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Unarmed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Unarmed works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Pay is $15 per hour, paid weekly
The ideal candidate will have:Prior law enforcement experience, Military experience and/or 2 years of Unarmed Security.
Full-time and part-time positions available. Retirees and VETERANS welcome.
You will help to prevent and deter crime through:
Performing both regular and random patrols of multiple premises
Reporting any security-related incidents, hazards or unusual occurrences
When necessary, performing control procedures
Operating emergency equipment
Documenting nightly operations and filing weekly reports
Investigating breaches of property
You must meet the following requirements:
Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
Sound communication skills
Professional presentation
Ability to work as a team member and solo
Willingness and ability to work to a flexible roster, 7 days a week
Reliable transport
