Security Guard - Armed provides security and guards buildings, grounds, materials, work sites, or other venues. Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Armed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Armed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically requires Firearms Certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Armed works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Guard to join our team. As an Armed Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. Your primary duty will be to protect against theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities. This is a critical role that requires excellent conflict management skills, as well as knowledge of surveillance and law enforcement procedures.This position is paying $20.00/hr
Responsibilities:
- Provide armed security services to clients in various locations
- Patrol assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of individuals and property
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential threats
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, including medical emergencies or security breaches
- Conduct thorough inspections of premises to identify any security vulnerabilities
- Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or provide assistance
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including incident reports and shift logsExperience:
- Previous experience in a similar role as an Armed Guard or in law enforcement is preferred
- Must possess a valid armed security guard license/certificate
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and procedures
- Proficient in conflict management and de-escalation techniques
