Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Armed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Armed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically requires Firearms Certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Armed works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. PATROL DIVISION
Patrol Officers are members of the Uniformed Division that are assigned to patrol duties. Patrol Officers are armed and unarmed officers that make patrol stops to various clients in Missoula and follow specific client requests during their shift. Patrol Officers are also responsible for the care and cleanliness of the Patrol truck and filling out all required reports.
