Security Guard - Armed jobs in Methuen, MA
Security Guard - Armed provides security and guards buildings, grounds, materials, work sites, or other venues. Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Armed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Armed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically requires Firearms Certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Armed works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Some duties will include but are not limited to:
- Patrolling site on foot
- Ensuring safety by enforcing rules and regulations of the client as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Provide direction to visitors and personnel.
- Must be friendly, courteous and personable.
- Communicate with local law enforcement and medical personnel as needed.
- Administering First Aid responses.
- Conducting investigations and submitting reports.
- Reviewing security cameras as well as security systems.
- Check for unauthorized persons.
- De-escalate and use defensive tactics to ensure a safe environment for all. Provide Crisis Intervention
- This Job is physically demanding on occasion, and must be capable of lifting or moving 50lbs.
- Any other safety and security related duties as detailed in Client Agreement
- NH Guard Card preferred.
Salem, NH Location:
Saturdays 3p - 10p
Sundays 2p -9p
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 per week
