Security Guard - Armed jobs in Fitchburg, MA

General Description: Professional Security Officer will be considered for a position in Marlborough and surrounding areas (both armed and unarmed). Guards will act as a visual deterrent on site and are responsible for detecting and reporting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior. Security Officer must be observant, punctual, responsible, calm, and able to de-escalate situations. Full time or part time offered, LTC required.

• Essential Functions:

Conducting foot patrols of site regularly to maintain order and establish a presence

Conduct access control for vehicle and foot traffic

Observe and Report

Secure all exits, doors, and windows during shift and at end of shift

Respond to alarms as required by client

Create detailed Daily Activity Reports using company-provided software

Provide a professional level of service to meet and exceed client expectations

• Requirements:
• License and Vehicle
• 19 years of age
• Pass a Icori (background check)
• Be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Excellent observation skills

Skills Preferred:

• Experience as a security guard and or Military/Law Enforcement.
• Knowledge of legal guidance for area security and public safety
• Familiarity with report writing
• Tech-savvy
• Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
• High School Diploma
• Expectations:

Ability to stand, walk, and climbs stairs for extended periods of time.

Must be able to conduct interior and exterior foot patrols as needed.

Dependable and reliable attendance record.

Maintain a drug-free workplace.

Customer Service oriented

Excellent communication skills

Ability to make decisions with limited supervision

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
