Coordinate emergency responses with our Special Police Officers, Public Safety personnel, building maintenance, law enforcement and other personnel to maximize effectiveness - Responsible for documentation of routine and critical events throughout shift(s). Presents issues in a clear, concise, and logical manner both orally and in writing - Provides professional, reliable and prompt service to customers, offering respect, courtesy and a sense of urgency at all times; ask questions to ensure clear understanding and prompt resolution - Suggests improvements in procedures and makes recommendations to eliminate unnecessary functions.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Handle telephone calls, radio calls, and walk-in requests for service including general and emergency calls for assistance
- Responsible for maintaining control over the airway, including unit to unit communications
- Dispatch police and security personnel to all calls for service, manage police radio communications and coordinate incident reports
- Coordinate radio calls and requests for assistance from outside law enforcement, fire and emergency medical agencies, tow companies when require
- Ability to command and control any situation, excellent judgment on when to do so,
- Scheduling Officers and managing call outs
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum Requirements: Must be 21 years old Must have a clean Criminal Record Must have prior Dispatch experience Must possess valid Massachusetts Driver's License
