Security Director jobs in Bend, OR

Security Director implements overall security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps. Being a Security Director implements staff training and operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Manages and maintains systems, alarms, and other physical security measures. Additionally, Security Director delivers education programs and communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues. Participates in local, state, provincial, or federal working or advisory groups to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events. Leads and directs significant investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies. Possess a broad knowledge of law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, or related discipline. Typically reports to senior management. The Security Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Security Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Security Responsibilities:

    • Access Control
    • Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions that may endanger the client, its associates, or public safety
    • Patrols are assigned on foot to maintain visibility and observe possible unusual activities at client facilities.
      • Patrols may be assigned in a company-marked vehicle provided the candidates' driving history is exemplary.
    • Theft and vandalism determent
    • Ensure the client, its associates, and facility personnel are provided with a safe and professional work environment
    • Ensure that daily administrative documentation is always kept concise and complete
    • Uniform attire and grooming standards must be maintained while in uniform
    • Perform other related duties as required

    Qualifications and skills:

    • Minimum 18 years of age
    • Basic computer skills and report-writing experience
    • Ability to pass a criminal background check
    • Must be able to handle stressful situations and emergencies

    • Must have at least 1 year of security experience
    • Candidates should be able to provide body armor:
      • Tactical outer carrier
      • Concealed inner carrier
      • 3a Soft armor
      • Duty belt with MOLLE attachments
      • OC spray, handcuffs, and baton.

    Pay and Benefits:

    • Salary: $19-$21 DOE
      • Daily pay options available. Pay out as soon as next day! 
    • 50% paid Medical/ Dental/ Vision/ and Free Life insurance for Full-time employees available after the first 60 days.
    • Additional insurance offerings such as Critical Care coverage, Hospital Insurance, Accidental Insurance, and Pet Insurance 401K program
    • Uniforms provided

    Education:

    • High school or equivalent (Required)

    Experience:

    • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
    • Security: 1 year (Required)

    License/Certification:

    • Driver's License (Preferred)
    • Active Guard Card (Required)
    • Defensive Tactical Certificate (Preferred for Advanced Roles)
