SUMMARY
The Security Officer is responsible for executing Security duties on their assigned shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows all company policy and procedures which maintain the security of the Team Members, Guest, Vendors, company funds and physical property.
- Generates necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving customers, employees, and/or the facility. Responsible for the accuracy and thoroughness of records and reports.
- Escorts and observes customers and employees, to ensure their safety and protection; identifies potential safety hazards and report to the appropriate individual, for proper resolution.
- May be required to act as a Dispatcher which includes informing outside agencies of any unusual or suspicious situations on property.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the company’s facilities, as well as special events on property.
- Interacts with customers and employees in a positive, professional manner.
- Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
- Facilitates the flow of information, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
- Accepts identification as necessary to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers and resolves Guest complaints in a timely and positive manner.
- Must be able to work the required work schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Works physically onsite to manage business and interact personally with Team Members, vendors and guests.
- Ensures all safety standards are met and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Excellent Guest Service and interpersonal skills required.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Bilingual skills a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and act upon documents and reports necessary.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to effectively use a computer as well as various software including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, increasing to loud when on the casino floor.
- Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
