Security Coordinator administers, coordinates, and evaluates security programs that support the strategy, policies, and standards established for the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Compiles data and analyzes results of audits, inspections, daily logs, and incident reports to assess security vulnerabilities, measure program effectiveness, and identify the need for additional resources. Being a Security Coordinator coordinates any required security clearance processing or investigative research for employees or job candidates with applicable entities. Assists with the development of training, education programs, and communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is prepared for potential security issues, crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Additionally, Security Coordinator monitors communications and stays informed about local, state, provincial, or federal security-related information, directives, and events. May coordinate or assist with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials. Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Security Coordinator work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Security Coordinator typically requires 7+ years of related experience. Resettlement & Integration Coordinator- Security and Stability

  • The Services for New Americans case management team empowers resettled refugees to become independent and self-sufficient by connecting refugees to community services and facilitating community integration. The Resettlement & Integration Coordinator oversees all aspects of the case management team including supervising and supporting members of the team, developing and maintaining relationships with human service agencies and other essential community partners, providing case management services to refugee clients, monitoring client outcomes and ensuring the quality, timeliness and documentation of those services and completion of required reports.  The Resettlement & Integration Coordinator is part of the broader Services for New Americans team serving refugees and provides other support as needed.

    Essential Responsibilities: 

    Lead Case Management Team:

    • Responsible for providing effective leadership to case management staff and delivering quality services to the individuals served.
    • Responsible for providing effective leadership to volunteers and interns as needed.
    • Responsible for training programs to ensure all case management staff, volunteers and interns are adequately trained in all required areas.
    • Develop case management staff, volunteers and interns including supervising, coaching and mentoring.
    • Interview, hire, orient, supervise and evaluate case management staff
    • Assist with orienting, supervising and evaluating volunteers and interns.
    • Maintain current knowledge of local, state, national and federal regulations that govern refugee service areas. 

    Partner Relations and Coordination:

    • Prepare local community partners, service providers, and key stakeholders, etc. for the resettlement of refugee populations,
    • Serve as primary contact for human service agencies and social service organizations and refugees to facilitate access to services that promote the Social Determinants of Health.
    • Serve as primary contact for local landlords: assist with securing housing for incoming clients and addressing landlord and/or client concerns as they arise.
    • Oversee maintenance of existing relationships with social service organizations’ contacts through frequent communication and coordination.
    • Attend and participate in service provider/community partner meetings.
    • Network and develop relationships with potential providers.
    • Provide and/or promote educational offerings to social service organizations regarding culturally and linguistically appropriate services. 

    Client Services:

    • Follow assurance procedures regarding cases allocated by National Agency to the program.
    • Ensure provision of all mandatory and core client services within required time period: track completion of services, follow up with case management team as needed.
    • Serve as primary contact for clients with concerns.
    • Ensure that clients have a resettlement plan developed and that case management team monitors client progress toward goals.
    • Provide oversight of information and referrals to external programs and services.
    • Oversight of Case Management team in providing coaching and empowering refugees to work toward self-sufficiency and to integrate into the community; oversee that cases are adhering to timeframe requirements of the refugee program’s contracts.
    • Support and collaborate with employment team as needed to help refugees obtain employment.
    • Oversight of Case Management team to ensure payment of rent, utilities, etc. for clients.
    • Provide back up for Case Management team as needed including, but not limited to direct casework such as apartment set-ups, providing transportation and interpretation, helping clients access benefits, program and services, and picking up clients at the airport, etc.
    • Monitor and track client progress.
    • Ensure that refugee clients are treated with respect, dignity and respect for privacy at all times. 

    Record Keeping, Reporting, Finances and Budgeting:

    • Serve as primary point of contact for relevant funding agencies.
    • Report to state funders on individual client progress as well as overall program outcomes as needed.
    • Maintains and ensures quality of casefiles associated with clients and services on an ongoing basis as well as monthly casefile reviews.
    • Assist Program Manager in submitting and maintaining documentation in accordance with contractual standards and in a timely manner.
    • Maintain client database and tracking documents, client financial records and case files, including case notes, contacts, and documents held for safekeeping on behalf of clients.
    • Complete and file progress and other administrative reports according to program procedures and deadlines.
    • Oversee the tracking and distribution of client funds in accordance with contractual obligations.
    • Manage program related expenditures monthly.
    • Manage SNA checking and petty cash accounts, procurement cards, and staff expenses.
    • Approve employees’ time and manage staff overtime to budgeted costs.
    • Assist Program Manager/Director in annual or periodic budget and proposal preparation. 

    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree required. 
    • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience required.
    • Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience required.
    • Ability to speak a language our clients speak is preferred (ex. Arabic, French, Kinyarwanda, Swahili).
    • Knowledge of local, state, national and federal regulations that govern refugee service areas.
    • Computer skills required including: experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; data entry skills and budget tracking.
    • Ability to effectively lead staff, volunteers and interns, and advocate for process improvement as needed.
    • Ability to work sensitively and effectively in a multi-cultural/multi-lingual environment.
    • Ability to be flexible, adapt, and contribute to ongoing organizational transformation.
    • Valid Driver’s License, positive driving record and proof of automobile insurance is required to transport clients.
